Work with thought leaders and academic experts in agronomy

Companies can greatly benefit from working with agronomy experts. These professionals possess in-depth knowledge and experience in the field of agronomy, which can help companies improve their agricultural practices, increase crop yields, and achieve sustainable growth. By collaborating with an academic researcher in agronomy, companies can gain access to cutting-edge research, innovative technologies, and advanced farming techniques. They can also receive expert advice on soil management, crop selection, pest control, and irrigation methods. Furthermore, agronomy experts can assist companies in implementing sustainable farming practices, reducing environmental impact, and ensuring food safety. Overall, partnering with an agronomy researcher can provide companies with a competitive edge in the agricultural industry.

About
Currently, I am working as a Research Associate in Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center at Michigan State University. Before I joined Michigan State University, I worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Cropping Systems Agronomy program at the University of Idaho. I got both my MS and PhD in Biology (Ecology-Track) from the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Toledo in December 2015 and May 2020. I have experience in conducting laboratory, controlled environment, and field research; experimental design; data management and analysis; interpretation and summation of data; and manuscript writing. I have expertise on plant physiology, plant nutrition, plant biochemistry, eco-physiology, abiotic stress, statistics, bioenergy, and agronomy. I have the ability to work independently or in a collaborative environment. I keep abreast of new science and technological developments. I have experiences in publishing research papers in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and to date, I have published thirteen peer-reviewed papers. I received the outstanding graduate student research paper award twice in 2017 and 2019, and in addition, I have presented in both regional and international conferences and rewarded several times. I am a passionate and committed scientist with demonstrated experimental and analytical skills in scientific research. I am hard working and open minded to explore the boundaries of scientific fields.

Example agronomy projects

How can companies collaborate more effectively with researchers, experts, and thought leaders to make progress on agronomy?

Optimizing Crop Yield

An agronomy expert can analyze soil composition, climate conditions, and crop requirements to develop customized strategies for optimizing crop yield. By implementing these strategies, companies can increase their productivity and profitability.

Improving Soil Health

Collaborating with an agronomy researcher can help companies improve soil health through soil testing, nutrient management, and organic farming practices. This can lead to enhanced crop quality, reduced input costs, and long-term sustainability.

Implementing Precision Agriculture

Agronomy experts can assist companies in adopting precision agriculture techniques, such as remote sensing, GPS mapping, and variable rate technology. These technologies enable precise resource allocation, efficient use of inputs, and optimized crop production.

Developing Sustainable Pest Management Strategies

By working with an agronomy researcher, companies can develop sustainable pest management strategies that minimize the use of chemical pesticides. This can help reduce environmental impact, protect beneficial insects, and ensure the safety of agricultural products.

Enhancing Water Management

Agronomy experts can provide companies with insights and solutions for efficient water management in agriculture. This includes optimizing irrigation systems, implementing water-saving techniques, and promoting water conservation practices.
